About usAtma Communications is a publishing company run by Arjuna Krishna-Das. It was founded in Liverpool in 1996 by Arjuna Krishna-Das, an author of novels and technical literature. Arjuna has studied vedic texts from Ancient India extensively, both theoretically and practically under HG Titiksu Prabhu and HG Krishna-Ksetra Prabhu (Keneth Valpey). He has a City & Guilds Diploma in Technical Communication through Eston Training, has worked in the Oil, Gas, Chemical/process, Safety, Microelectronics, Software and Marketing industries since as a Technical Communicator all over England. Arjuna is a Fellow of the Institute for Scientific and Technical Communication and parliamentary candidate for Hertmere for the Green party. Publisher of the first e-novel, Angels Chic, through Merseyworld, an offshoot of Liverpool University, Atma Communications met with a complete lack of interest from the reading public. Angels Chic is the story of Jane, a stoned but idealistic social worker living and working around Lark Lane, Liverpool, and her green hippy dole-scum friends. Meanwhile, Robert, an uber-nerd of the highest order is working in Wavertree on Stealth Communications, a project funded by the Ministry of Defence and an unnamed Arabian country. When Robert realises that he has stumbled across a teleport machine, things rapidly get out of hand when he and jane get into competition with the Modern Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on 1 May 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, dedicated to the systematic and stealthy conquest of nations. Jane and Robert get sucked into a world of ancient Indian and Egyptian yoga, meditation, other worlds and a plot to steal the Universe's most valuable jewl, a power without parallel. Resurected in 2008 thanks to the advent of Publishing on Demand, Atma published Angels chic through Lightning Source, releasing the title as a 280-page paperback at Summer Solstice/Rathayatra 2008 in London's Trafalgar Square. Angels Chic has met with universal acclaim from those who have read it. Atma is currently working on publishing three more Krishna Conscious novels, including Time Gods by Wayne Boyd (ex-Vipramukya Swami). Time Gods sends a modern bramachary Hare krishna monk back through time to 1966 New York, where he battles Lust Anger and Greed personified for the future of the Krishna Consciousness movement. Jai Haribol and Other Stories is an illustrated children's Hare Krishna stories book produced with Michael Galligan from Manchester, a fine artist of the highest order. |
